Chrissy Teigen is going to the Grammys on Sunday. Exciting! Unfortunately, her fingers are stained green with Fun Dip, and she needs it to come off before the show.

Luckily, the internet is here to help. And do weird jokes.

This is why the internet was invented, right?

I ate fun dip with my fingers last night and I'm stained and Grammys are tomorrow. I've tried everything please help pic.twitter.com/Atr66KJcYo

Here are a few of Twitter's more interesting responses, from the practical to the, uh, not. Their usefulness is, of course, TBD — though we don't think a literal green thumb would be a bad awards show accessory. Read more...

NBA star Russell Westbrook uses 'Any Given Sunday' to put Kevin Durant on notice

In case anyone was wondering whether NBA star Russell Westbrook was taking the return of his former teammate, Kevin Durant, to Oklahoma City seriously, his pregame wardrobe just removed all doubt.

Strolling into the Chesapeake Energy Arena hours before the 8:30 p.m. ET tip-off, Westbrook sported a number 13 Willie Beamen jersey. If you've forgotten, Beamen is the unapologetically awesome quarterback character played by Jamie Foxx in Any Given Sunday. Beamen's struggle in the film, like Westbrook's in real life, is defying the doubters, even in the face of his obvious talent.  Read more...

Melissa McCarthy's is back and super mad as Sean Spicer on 'SNL'

Melissa McCarthy returned to Saturday Night Live to bring us the gift that is her impression of White House Press Secretary Sean "Spicy" Spicer — and things got physical.

McCarthy opened the night's briefing by assuring the press corps that it needn't worry: This was going to be the "New Spicy." A calm Spicy. One that definitely wouldn't throw wads of chewed gum at reporters and attack them with a leaf blower.

All you Valentine's Day haters are wrong. There, I've said it.

Let me just get this off my chest. I am so tired of everyone hating on Valentine's Day. What is better to celebrate than love? There is perhaps nothing more deserving of recognition and appreciation than the fact that you are loved, that someone cares about you and wants you to be happy. And I don't just mean in the romantic sense.

I happen to love Valentine's Day, but not just because I'm in a relationship. Whether it's romantic love, familial love or friendship; love is worthy of celebration, especially when it often feels like the world is spinning out of control. So, to set the record straight, I'm going to tackle every single complaint I've ever heard about Valentine's Day, because Valentine’s Day can’t stick up for itself.  Read more...

Early tourists clambered to the top of Egypt's pyramids in fancy dresses and suits

Tourists take tea atop the Great Pyramid.

Image: Bettmann/Getty Images

Since the visit of Herodotus in the 4th century BC, the enduring monuments of Ancient Egypt have drawn tourists across the Mediterranean from Europe, most of all to the towering pyramids of Giza.

With the completion of the Suez Canal in 1869, visits by wealthy tourists increased. That same year, travel mogul Thomas Cook offered his first tour of Palestine and the Nile, and launched regular steamer trips on the great river in the following years.

The discovery of Tutankhamen’s tomb in 1922 spurred a renewed Egyptian fascination among Europeans. Read more...

'SNL' Weekend Update crams a week of Trump missteps into 8 minutes

Saturday Night Live didn't exactly shy away from politics this week, which featured Trump impersonator-in-chief Alec Baldwin as the host. But most of the top real world headlines were skewered not in sketches, but in a dizzying Weekend Update instead.

Co-hosts Michael Che and Colin Jost spat out one-liner after one-liner during an 8-minute tour through the many missteps and gaffes committed by the Trump White House during the preceding week. Che nailed it when he said: "The pace of this presidency is exhausting."

Only one news event merited more than a one-liner: Mitch McConnell silencing Elizabeth Warren in the Senate as she argued against U.S. attorney general Jeff Sessions' confirmation. The Warren role went to Kate McKinnon and ... well ... watch it for yourself.  Read more...

Frank Ocean slams Taylor Swift's '1989' win in angry letter about the Grammys

At the tail end of 2016, Frank Ocean called the Grammy Awards "dated" and did not put forth his album Blonde for consideration—effectively boycotting the 59th annual awards and triggering a wave of possible no-shows from Kanye West, Drake and perhaps Justin Bieber.

Now, in response to criticism from Grammy producers, Ocean penned a letter on Tumblr on Saturday night to share his frustrations with the awards show and to slam Taylor Swift's 1989 win over Kendrick Lamar in 2016.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich and writer David Wild expressed their irritations working with Ocean during his 2013 Grammy performance, saying the artist was rigid in his ways and did not understand that his vision would not be well-suited for television.  Read more...

A new anti-smoking ad slams Big Tobacco for targeting black neighborhoods

Cheetos ad meeting on 'SNL' mocks marketing in the age of Trump

Donald Trump isn't ever mentioned by name in this Saturday Night Live sketch about a pitch meeting with Cheetos, but his presence looms large.

Riffing on Lumber 84's political Super Bowl LI commercial — which delivered a strong message on the importance of an immigrant workforce — the SNL bit mulls the thought process behind politically motivated advertising. Are companies concerned about the issues or do they just see politics as another marketing tool?

Betsy DeVos' Department of Education misspells W.E.B. Du Bois' name, then misspells its apology

"Education must not simply teach work — it must teach life."

These words by civil rights activist and historian W.E.B. Du Bois were echoed by the U.S. Department of Education's Twitter account, but ironically, with a spelling error.

The account attributed the words to W.E.B. "DeBois." Of course, people on Twitter noticed right away and were not afraid to bring out the red pens and correct the "alternative spelling."

Later, the account apologized for the error — but, sadly, it botched that too.

Nike shows it's no Under Armour with LeBron ad that slams discrimination

It's getting harder and harder to avoid politics in sports.

Pro basketball stars in particular are speaking out against discrimination and hate, and LeBron James is no exception.

On Sunday, the three-time NBA champion tweeted out this powerful new Nike ad featuring himself, fellow NBA pro Kevin Durant and tennis great Serena Williams.

In sports, "you're defined by your actions, not your looks or beliefs," the ad's narrator says.

The video shows athletes using spray paint to extend their basketball courts and soccer fields to show that "equality should have no boundaries." Shots of a Muslim track runner and people standing outside of a court building push home the message that "opportunity should not discriminate" and "the ball should bounce the same for everyone."
