These twins battled each other for 58 words in the final round of a spelling bee

Nothing like a little friendly competition among brothers.

On Saturday, twins from Lincoln, Nebraska, found themselves in an epic battle to win the 30th annual Lincoln Public Schools Spelling Bee.

As the Lincoln Star Journal reports, 12 year-olds Eswar and Sankar Ramamurthy found themselves in the final round — but had to go through 58 words before Eswar was eventually declared winner of the LPS Spelling Bee.

The winning word? Farfalle.

“We have farfalle pasta all the time,” Eswar told the Journal. Looks like all that pasta paid off — Eswar was the first to spell two words correctly in a row. An hour of words like “lapidary” and  “Hanseatic" landed him $100 in prize money, a dictionary and thesaurus.  Read more...

88 satellites will launch on Valentine's Day to image the entire Earth every day

On Valentine's Day, instead of chowing down on chocolates, a group of engineers and scientists are going to get pancakes and a rocket launch.

Employees working for Planet — a California-based startup — are planning to watch a record 88 of their tiny satellites launch into orbit while eating breakfast.

"This [pancake tradition] originated from the very first launch we had back in 2013," Mike Safyan, Planet's director of launch and regulatory affairs, said in an interview.

"It was an early morning launch and everyone got together and watched the livestream and we decided to eat pancakes and that's just kind of carried over for every single launch we've had so far." Read more...

The internet has lots of fun after the GOP tweets a fake Abraham Lincoln quote

The GOP is putting words in Abraham Lincoln's mouth.

On the revered president's 208th birthday, the GOP shared a photo of the Lincoln Memorial with a quote that — though attributed to Lincoln — is one he never actually said.

The tweet was sent out Sunday morning from the main GOP Twitter account, with the quote, "And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years," attributed to our 16th president.

His leadership brought us together; his legacy inspires us still. Happy Birthday, President Lincoln! pic.twitter.com/W2rXcKHVpu

Verizon resurrects unlimited data, because T-Mobile and AT&T aren't f*cking around

Verizon, in the age of streaming video and GIF-filled messaging, is looking to win back customers by offering unlimited data.

The wireless carrier announced Sunday an introductory plan with unlimited data. Available Monday, it charges $80 per month with unlimited data, talk and text on a smartphone or tablet. Verizon charges $45 per line for four lines.

The announcement comes shortly after a study revealed Verizon can no longer call itself the fastest wireless network. T-Mobile is just as good as Verizon, according to the 2017 State of Mobile Networks report from OpenSignal. Those two are followed by AT&T and then Sprint.  Read more...

Miranda Kerr says she and the Snapchat CEO aren't having sex until marriage

Normally what goes on inside the bedroom of high-profile couples stays inside the bedroom — unless nothing goes on and they want to share that with everyone.

In a recent interview with The Times of London, the usually private supermodel Miranda Kerr spilled her real thoughts on Facebook (she hates it) but also shared some information about her relationship with fiancé Evan Spiegel, also known as Snapchat's CEO.

After the topic of contraceptives was brought up, Kerr responded matter-of-factly that she doesn't use any because the two are waiting to consummate their relationship after wedding bells ring. “Not until after we get married,” she said. “[Spiegel] is very traditional. We can’t … I mean we’re just … waiting.” Read more...

$190 million box office weekend is the biggest since 'Rogue One'

The Lego Batman Movie, Fifty Shades Darker, and John Wick: Chapter Two.

The cumulative domestic box office take for those three movies — all new releases — accounts for the lion's share of an estimated $190.3 million weekend at the box office. It's the biggest three-day weekend for Hollywood since Rogue One opened in Dec. 2016.

Batman finished on top, with an estimated $55.6 million. Its opening performance doesn't quite rival that of The Lego Movie ($69.1 million) — which Batman spins off from — but the critical buzz on this new family comedy bodes well for the weeks ahead. Read more...

Al Jarreau, whose smooth voice introduced the world to Bruce Willis, dead at 76

Just hours before the Grammys, a music giant passed.

Seven-time Grammy-winning jazz singer Al Jarreau, who transcended genres over a 50-year career, died at a Los Angeles hospital Sunday, just days after announcing his retirement from touring because of exhaustion.

Those unfamiliar with his name may remember his iconic voice introducing mainstream TV viewers to Bruce Willis — he sang the theme song to Moonlighting, long before Willis' Die Hard days.

His official Twitter account and website say he died surrounded by his wife, son and a few other family members and friends. He was 76. Read more...

Nation's biggest dam overflows into emergency spillway for first time in 50 years

California has spent the last six years grappling with a brutal drought. Now parts of the Golden State are suffering from the opposite problem: too much water.

Extreme flooding this weekend washed away chunks of highway, derailed trains and inundated homes in Northern California. At Lake Oroville, a major man-made reservoir, water began flowing over a never-before-used emergency spillway at the Oroville Dam.

The 770-foot-tall dam — the tallest in the country — lies about 150 miles northeast of San Francisco. Opened in 1968, the colossal infrastructure supplies water for farms in the Central Valley and homes and buildings in Southern California. Read more...

NASA scientist says border agents made him turn over his phone and pin code

Sidd Bikkannavar, a natural-born American citizen, said he was detained at Houston's international airport on Jan. 30, just days after President Donald Trump signed an executive order banning citizens from seven Muslim-majority countries.

Bikkannavar, who works in NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, was on his way back from Santiago, Chile, he told The Verge in an interview published Sunday.

Meryl Streep slams Trump tweets, defends LGBTQ rights in new speech

Meryl Streep seems to have taken a leaf out of the book of Donald Trump resistance shared by Bernice King recently. Step number one: "Don't use his name."

And yes, she directly addressed the tweets Trump leveled at her following her Golden Globes speech, saying "I am the most overrated, overdecorated and, currently, I am the most over-berated actress ... of my generation," she said. Read more...

Adele kicked off the Grammys and was flawless, as usual

Don't mind us, we're just over here quietly weeping after Adele's 2017 Grammys performance.

The British songstress kicked off the Grammy Awards with a storming rendition of "Hello" that seemed to peer into the very depths of our souls.

The stripped down performance came before the intro to the show — hosted by James Corden from Los Angeles' Staples Center — and earned a standing ovation (and a whole lot of damp tissues) from the emotional crowd.

It's already been a good night for the 28-year-old singer, who scooped up two awards, for Best Pop Vocal Album for 25, and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Hello," before the ceremony even began.  Read more...

David Bowie swept all 5 posthumous Grammy nominations for 'Blackstar'

Five nominations, five wins. The Thin White Duke's final run at the Grammys was a clean sweep.

David Bowie's Blackstar, the space-jazzed out swan song album that he dropped just days before his death a year ago, was nominated for five Grammy Awards, and swept them all: Best Rock Performance, Best Alternative Music Album, Best Recording Package, Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical and Best Rock Song.

Best Rock Song was the only of the five given out during the Sunday night telecast on CBS; the other four were announced beforehand, leaving the sweep in doubt until showtime. But the 9 minute, 59 second cosmic dirge prevailed over Radiohead's "Burn the Witch," Metallica's "Hardwired," Twenty One Pilots' "Heathens" and Highly Suspect's "My Name is Human." Read more...

The singer took the stage with a broad smile for her daughter, Blue Ivy, whose presence seemed to underscore the entire speech.

'Homeland' Season 6 finally got our attention with that mystery attack

This recap contains spoilers for Homeland Season 6, episode 4, "A Flash of Light." Refresh your memory with our recap of episode 603 here.

Homeland has always been a bit of a slow burn, though some seasons get off to a faster start than others. With Season 6, the first three episodes felt a little disjointed. The storyline with Saul (Mandy Patinkin) and Dar (F. Murray Abraham) was only overlapping with Carrie's (Claire Danes) plot a little, and the Quinn (Rupert Friend) recovery plotline was almost entirely unconnected to everything else.

All that changed with episode 4, "A Flash of Light," which brought everything to a head and finally succeeded in getting us excited about Season 6. Read more...

Dead mic silences James Hetfield at the Grammys, but Lady Gaga saves the day

The Grammys did what no one else ever has: Silenced Metallica lead singer James Hetfield.

Metallica and Lady Gaga took the stage on Sunday night for a duet made in Hell — and I mean that in the best possible way — that isn't much of a stretch, really, given Gaga's hard-rock roots. She was dazzling, of course, blowing out some goddess-level metal vocals and striking all the badass rock-poster poses.

But microphone problems marred the performance's early goings: Hetfield's signature growl was absent from the mix as the band's new single "Moth Into a Flame" got raging, and for a couple of verses, it was clear that his mouth was moving — but nothing was coming out. Read more...

The best and worst moments of the 2017 Grammys

The Grammys, much like life, are full of ups and downs.

Below, just a few of the highs and lows from the 2017 ceremony, which, we've got to be honest, went on way, way too long.

Best

The Grammys take a Chance

Chance the Rapper took home wins for Best New Artist and Best Rap Album, beating out Kanye West and Drake in the latter category. You deserve it, buddy.

I just love that @chancetherapper is being rewarded for being his whole authentically dope self.

The performances

Beyoncé was introduced by her mother Tina Knowles, Bruno Mars got the crowd dancing in a thrilling Prince tribute and A Tribe Called Quest took the stage with a powerful call for resistance. Read more...

Netflix cheating is a phenomenon that can put a pause on your relationship

Those who stream together, stay together?

It is common for couples in long-term relationships to take on quite possibly the most lofty commitment to each other they'll ever make: watching a show on Netflix together

This unbreakable vow requires the couple to sit down and watch their favorite show with each other at the exact same time. It becomes a total pledge of trust and something you commit to doing together, kind of like raising a child.

There is an unspoken rule that one member of the party may never, under any circumstances, proceed onto the next episode without the other. It's just the rule. It's what you get yourself into. Read more...

People are busy frying eggs on cars 'cause it's hot as hell down here

As a kid, attempting to fry an egg on the footpath was the go-to experiment in hot weather.

For police in Queensland, Australia, the weekend heatwave which struck much of the country was the perfect opportunity to re-live their youth, rather than, you know, solve some crimes.

The town of Birdsville hasn't had an afternoon under 41 degrees celsius (105 degrees) since Jan. 26, so it makes the perfect setting for a fry up. Just listen to that egg sizzle on the car's bonnet. Impressive.

Adele wins Album, Song and Record of the Year at the Grammys

Adele swept the Album, Song and Record categories for "Hello" and  25 at Sunday night's Grammys.

Through tears, Adele accepted the award for Album of the Year before admitting she believes the award should have gone to fellow nominee Beyoncé for Lemonade.

"We all got to see another side to you that you don't always let us see, and we appreciate that," she said. "All us artists here adore you. You are our light."

A Tribe Called Quest brought raw political fire to the Grammys stage

That's how it's done folks.

While subtle metaphors, artful set design and love-filled lyrics are all valid forms of political commentary, there's no substitute for cutting right to the chase. And that's what A Tribe Called Quest and Anderson .Paak (with some help from Busta Rhymes and Consequence) just did at the Grammys.

And they did it powerfully.

Performing a medley of songs including "We the People," and "Award Tour," the group launched right into it, with Rhymes calling President Trump "Agent Orange" a bunch of times before the rapping even started.  Read more...

Writer-turned-politician amuses a nation in his quest to coin the world's shortest pangram

Shashi Tharoor has a way with words. Be it the Oxford Union debate or his non-fiction prose, the former UN official and member of India's parliament can certainly stimulate and provoke with words.

On Sunday afternoon, Tharoor chose a new playground: Facebook.

He took on the age-old pangram 'The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog' (32 letters) and challenged it with a new, shorter one.  A pangram is a sentence that contains all 26 alphabets of the English language.

Tharoor mentioned 'Pack my box with five dozen liquor jugs', containing 31 letters, and 'How quickly daft jumping zebras vex', having 30 letters, oblivious to the fact that further shorter ones exist too.  Read more...

China is censoring social media less now—but it's not freedom

China appears to be loosening its well-known vice-like grip on what can and cannot be said on Weibo (its version of Twitter), but don't be fooled — it's not easing up on censorship.

A team of researchers from Hong Kong, Sweden and the U.S. have found that the Communist Party seems to be deleting far fewer posts that it used to find objectionable.

Weibo is by far China's most popular microblogging platform, and has some 297 million monthly active users.

The researchers published a paper detailing their analysis of 13.2 billion blog posts on Weibo over a five year period, from 2009 to 2013. Read more...

Uber's ambitious mapping project kicks off in Asia

Uber will begin mapping Singapore's streets soon, as it expands its large-scale mapping project to Asia.

Last year, the San Francisco firm embarked on a $500 million effort to wean itself off third-party data — Google's, specifically. Uber currently relies on a mix of map data from providers, including Google Maps, and its own.

The company said in a blog post that it is hoping to improve Uber's underlying technology by refining how it handles traffic, and where drivers can pick up and drop off users.

Uber explained that third party map data often isn't relevant to its needs as a ride-sharing app, since they include additional information such as oceanic topography. Read more...

People think Adele broke her Grammy in two and gave half to Beyoncé

Later on, the pop star appeared on stage clutching two pieces of her final Grammy and extending her arm as if to give one piece to Queen Bey.

Hotline, the new dating app that makes you to talk on the phone

Brace yourselves: There's a new dating app that requires you to kick things off with a potential match by sharing an actual phone callShudders. Passes out. Dies.

If the idea of having to speak to a stranger causes you to settle into a perma-cringe, you’re not alone — but that friction is exactly the point of Hotline, which launched on Monday. A subscription will run you $9 a month, and right now it's only for iOS in New York, but the hope is that they'll expand nationwide soon.

This strangely old-fashioned idea is the brainchild of 27-year-old Sam Ballantyne, who was a classical musician before he turned his attention to developing apps. It came to him after someone he’d matched with on another app insisted on a call instead of messaging. He found it an oddly effective way of starting things off since you can tell pretty much right away if you’re interested in learning more about someone or not. Read more...

Google Maps now lets you create and share lists of places

Sharing restaurant recommendations just got a whole lot easier.

You can now make customized lists of places on Google Maps, the company announced in a blog post on Monday. The lists are shareable within the Google Maps app, and you can follow lists you're interested in — to make sure you're always apprised of the best local pizza places, say. The feature was previously available only to Google's "Local Guides," and it's now being rolled out to all users.

To create a list, just open a place on Google Maps. Then, tap on the place name and the save icon, which brings up several pre-set lists like "Want to Go" or "Favorites." You can also create and name a new list. To view your saved lists, you can go to "Your Places" in the side menu. 'Walking Dead' producer explains Rick's new attitude: 'He's not gonna take it anymore'

The Walking Dead returned with an action-packed midseason premiere on Sunday night, and if it felt different (i.ebetter), there's a good reason for that.

Lest we forget: this time last season, Jessie and her two (obnoxious) sons met their grisly demise amid a full-on walker invasion of Alexandria, and Carl got shot in the eye — so "Rock in the Road" felt like a skip through the daisies in comparison.

"Normally, we like to focus this part of the show on complex, depressing policy issues," Oliver said after an opening segment about Trump's presidency so far and how he can't seem to shake people's hands. Instead, Oliver focused on Donald Trump's assault on the very concept of reality, and devoted the rest of his show to investigating how and why Trump lies so much — and what can be done to fix it.

How Japan censored 'Resident Evil 7'

Video games released in the U.S. typically tone down the sexy stuff, but Japan censors focus more on blood and gore. Which brings us to Resident Evil VII.

Capcom's latest entry in the series trades blockbuster monster violence for more intimate scares in a rundown Louisiana bayou estate. The violently dysfunctional family that lives there wouldn't be out of place in one of Rob Zombie's "torture porn" movies.

Which is to say: some of the game's gross-out horror is a bit too much for Japan. The Censored Gaming YouTube provides some examples of what's different in the above video, which trades severed heads for marked up photos and esophageal treasure-hunting for... uh... not that. Read more...

80-year-old woman accidentally tries to carry a sword onto a plane

Unless she's a ninja, a medieval jouster or a weapons collector, an 80-year-old woman has no conceivable use for a sword.

But one elderly woman traveling out of Myrtle Beach International Airport unknowingly became a real badass when TSA agents checked her carryon luggage and found out that her cane was actually a sword all along.

With one tug of the beautiful bronze handle of her "walking cane," agents pulled out the deadly weapon.

Mark Howell, a TSA regional spokesperson who was at the airport highlighting dangerous items recently carried by passengers, said that the woman had no idea the cane, a gift from her son, was actually a sword, and that these things happen more often than we think.   Read more...

Flawless dog gets Beyoncé-themed maternity photo shoot

Beyoncé broke the internet, and quite possibly the world, when she announced her pregnancy in the beginning of February.

Why Google's Valentine's Day game is a lot darker than you think

Hop over to Google.com, and you'll see a pair of enamored pangolins prepping for Valentine's Day this weekPress play, and you can help the cute scaly mammals fall in love.

Perhaps you'll feel whimsical, or even a little happy.

Consider this your dose of cold, hard reality: The pangolin — a nocturnal, cat-sized anteater — is rolling toward extinction.

Put another way, pangolins are "literally being eaten out of existence," according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

Native to Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, the termite-eating pangolins are thought to be the most trafficked animals in the world. Their meat is considered a luxury food in many cultures, and their scales are a common ingredient in traditional Asian medicines. Read more...

This BBC weather presenter just busted out a total mic drop of a pun

LONDON — Who says the weather can't be fun?

Admittedly it's probably not all that easy to squeeze humour into a forecast, but some presenters — particularly British ones, it seems — have nailed it.

There's Channel 5's Sian Welby, who went viral for her pun-filled forecasts, and Channel 4's Liam Dutton, whose casual ability to pronounce the longest place name in Europe delighted the internet.

Those two now have competition, though.

On Sunday, BBC weather presenter John Hammond busted out the following, undeniably great pun: Read more...

Samsung might have a curvy new Bixby logo

Samsung just filed for a new trademark—but it has nothing to do with new hardware like foldable phones or safer battery designs.

Instead, the application with the European Trade Mark and Design Network might give us a first look at how the company is going to brand Bixby, the new AI assistant that will likely be included in the upcoming Galaxy S8 phone.

The trademark application, which was uncovered by Neowin, shows off the logo for an "interactive computer software enabling exchange of information," which can access bank account information for transactions, provide navigational information—just about everything you'd hope for in an AI assistant.  Read more...

It sure looks like the iPhone 8 won't get long distance wireless charging

Besides a new edge-to-edge 5-inch OLED display, removing the iconic home button and a stainless steel and glass design, one of the longstanding iPhone 8 rumors has been wireless charging. More specifically, long distance wireless charging sans wireless charging pads.

But while recent rumors claim wireless charging is almost certainly a feature that the iPhone 8 will get, Apple's joining of the Wireless Power Consortium on Sunday suggests true long distance wireless charging might no longer be in the cards.

As a member of the WPC, Apple now joins more than 220 companies in helping create and promote the Qi wireless charging standard.  Read more...

Now you can ask 'Be Mine?' with a custom Snapchat filter

Nothing says romance like the word “geofilter” or at least that is what the fine people at Snapchat believe.

They’re offering users the chance to create their own custom designed filters to surprise their valentines. This isn’t a completely new idea — you’ve long been able to add them to weddings, parties and other special events.

As far as grand gestures go, it’s pretty low effort and low cost. You just need to design your filter. They offer themed template or you can do it in your own image editing software — and you can even add your bitmoji to it.

Make your own Valentine the Snapchat way.

Guy finds out the hard way that an 80-foot whip is a terrible idea

Bigger usually means better, right? Not in the world of whips.

Recently, YouTuber Bryan Ropar decided to test out an 80-foot homemade bull whip. Unfortunately for Roper, 80-feet proved to be a good 20 feet too long. Every time he attempted to crack the whip, the loop was so large that it was able to reach him at the other end.

Roper basically created a self torture device. But at least he admitted his failure.

"Well, that is by far one of the stupidest things I've ever done in my life," said Ropar.

Regardless, one dude managed to crack a whip that was well over 200 feet long, so maybe there's just a sweet spot around 80 feet where whips bite back. Read more...

Why you should spend your Valentine's Day with Michael Bolton, The Lonely Island and Comedy Bang Bang

In Michael Bolton's Big, Sexy Valentine's Day Special, our hero has a mission on a cold winter day: To get people so in the mood that they can’t resist having sex and bringing more babies into the world by Christmas.

"I just think romantic comedies are so silly because it's like, why should we care if two people kiss?" says Comedy Bang Bang's Scott Aukerman, who co-directed the special with The Lonely Island's Akiva Schaffer.

"Yeah but I watch," Schaffer replies. "I'm always just disappointed because I want penetration at the end or else I don't even understand what's happening."

"I knew he wouldn't stay on kissing very long," Bolton chimes in. "He went straight to the penetration." Read more...

The key, often-overlooked argument against reclining your seat on a plane

Should you recline your seat on a plane? The debate appears to be as old as the Internet, and it rages on with the same intensity today. And a recent, much-shared article on Thought Catalog added a lot of fuel to the fire by claiming that reclining is such a d-bag move, it warrants a slap on the face.

I have a very strong opinion on the subject, but let me start by saying that I don't agree with many of the points made in the article, which is available here. Slapping someone is never OK; especially on a plane. No airline forbids using the recliner button, and you're not the worst person in the world if you're trying to make that flight just a little bit more comfortable by leaning back. It's not akin to smoking heroin in the airplane's toilet, as the article suggests. Read more...

'Lego Batman' has a lot of fun mocking 'Batman v Superman,' but there's no beef there

The Lego Batman Movie is easily the most hilarious superhero film since Batman and Robin (although that one wasn't actually intended to be a comedy) — yet it comes from a studio that has been accused of taking the whole comic book movie thing way too seriously in recent years, with a dour iteration of Superman that divided audiences in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman.

Still, it's impossible to accuse Warner Bros. of being humorless: Suicide Squad may not have impressed critics, but it wasn't without its chuckles, and early footage of Justice League certainly hints at a more playful tone than Zack Snyder's previous efforts.  Read more...

Well, there have been some entertaining developments.

Shortly after the tiff took place on Saturday, one North London bookshop decided to begin what can only be described as a monumental campaign — to tweet the entirety of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone at Morgan in bite-size, 140-character snippets.

Siri has some fresh thoughts on love just in time for Valentine's Day

If you're the kind of person who likes to talk love on Valentine's Day, you can now stop annoying your Valentine's Day-hating peers (we know they're out there).

Apple has equipped Siri with some custom answers to Valentine's Day queries, from booking a romantic restaurant or choosing an appropriately saccharine playlist. It can even give you some ideas for (intentionally cringeworthy) pick-up lines, like: "Is your name Bluetooth? because I'm feeling a connection" and "Like the ideal vacuum, you're the only thing in my universe."

Things take a turn for the awkward and strange when you ask Siri for its thoughts on love. When we asked, "Who is your valentine?" — the response was a stern, "I don't have a valentine, but I do have a rather beautiful ontology."  Read more...

Two new signs that Nintendo is paving the way for esports

After Nintendo's recent reveal of competitive-centric features coming to Splatoon 2, the video game giant has made it clear that it's ready to jump headlong into the world of esports.

For years, Nintendo has been reticent to get into the professional side of competitive gaming, despite the popularity of its Super Smash Bros. series in the fighting game community. But it appears the company is changing its tune by integrating esports features directly into Splatoon 2, including private spectating and the ability to have up to eight players competing over LAN.

These two features are essential for top-level competition, especially for broadcast purposes, and confirm Nintendo's new esports intentions that were first teased in the Nintendo Switch reveal trailer. Read more...

There's finally a way to prove HoloLens is as cool as you say it is

If you're wearing Microsoft HoloLens and no one else can see the mixed reality you're experiencing, is it really happening? And is it really as cool as you say it is?

When I experienced and wrote about HoloLens last year, that was a chief concern for me. I did my best to describe what it was like to wear the headset and see digital objects interacting with the real world and responding to my own actions. However, nothing was as convincing as the video that showed my view of the world through the HoloLens system.

Four original series headed to YouTube Kids

YouTube Kids is celebrating its second birthday with some big news.

Beginning this spring, the platform — which last year YouTube integrated with its subscription streaming service YouTube Red — is rolling out a slate of original programming.

The app, which launched in February of 2015, has about 8 million active viewers per week and over 30 billion views to date. While it's already home to a handful of content — ranging from Mother Goose Club to Talking Tom — this marks the first time YouTube Red has invested in creators who are producing original programming for family audiences.

The shows, set to debut in spring, include Hyperlinked (featuring popular tween music act L2M), DanTDM Creates A Big Scene (with creators DanTDM), The Kings of Atlantis (featuring Joe and Cody of TheAtlanticCraft) and Fruit Ninja: Frenzy Force (with Fruit Ninja).   Read more...

Justin Trudeau awkwardly staring at Trump's hand instantly becomes a meme

The world is watching —  no longer will President Donald Trump get away with terrible handshakes without ridicule.

Trump's been getting a lot of (well-deserved) flack for his handshaking skills recently after a few highly-televised and poorly-executed handshakes left the internet wondering why Trump is so bad at shaking hands. Couple the poor handshaking skills with overused and mostly unfunny tiny hands jokes, and you've got yourself a meme in the making.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Trump had their first face-to-face meeting at the White House on Monday. The meeting was cordial, and all things considered, a photo op handshake between Trump and Trudeau turned out to be pretty normal. But the internet seized its chance to poke fun at the two world leaders with a poorly (or perfectly) timed photo of Trudeau awkwardly glancing at Trump's hand.  Read more...

This man was caught cheating on his wife and now he’s blaming an Uber 'glitch' for it

It's a classic tale of betrayal with a modern twist: a torrid affair leads to a broken marriage... after it was all uncovered by some unexplained app notifications.

When a businessman in southern France was caught hitching rides to rendezvous with his extramarital lover, he decided to blame Uber and file a lawsuit against the ride-hailing company, French newspaper Le Figaro reported Wednesday.

The alleged cheater, whose name was not disclosed in court documents obtained by the paper, blamed a "glitch" in the app for outing him. The man claimed he once logged into his Uber account on his wife's iPhone, but even after he logged out, her device continued to receive push notifications from his profile. Every time he took an extracurricular love trip, he claims she was pinged, which led her to confront him about the alleged affair and their eventual divorce. Read more...

It stated that according to Russian diplomat and Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, "There have been no talks between Russia and the United States about the lifting of sanctions."
